Strategic Master Planner

Help shape the future of the Copenhagen Metro

Metroselskabet's 3xR Programme is a strategic transformation programme set out to modernise and future-proof the Copenhagen Metro M1 and M2 lines.

As the programme will be delivered on a live operational railway, activities must be carefully coordinated with other asset reinvestments, maintenance and operational constraints. We are therefore establishing an Integrated Strategic Masterplan for M1/M2.

We are looking for an experienced Strategic Master Planner to lead the development and continuous improvement of this capability as part of the 3xR PMO.

Your key responsibilities

You will lead and maintain the Integrated Strategic Masterplan for M1/M2, ensuring that programme activities, asset reinvestments, maintenance and operations are coordinated within one integrated planning environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

Developing and maintaining the Integrated Strategic Masterplan, including dependencies, resource constraints, track possessions and key milestones.
Coordinating planning across the 3xR Programme, asset-reinvestment projects, maintenance, operations and key stakeholders.
Identifying schedule risks and opportunities through critical-path analysis, scenario planning and schedule assessments.
Supporting programme governance and executive decision-making through planning analyses, reporting and strategic insights.
Developing planning standards, governance, baseline management and planning methodologies.
Develop what-if scenarios, facilitate planning workshops and providing planning analyses to support the decision process and support the programme management.
Working closely with Metroselskabet colleagues and the programme’s long-term consultancy partner.
Provide strategic planning advice to the programme leadership team.

Your profile

We imagine that you have solid experience from large and complex infrastructure programmes and enjoy working across organisational boundaries to create structure, transparency and informed decision-making.

You bring:

At least 10 years’ experience working on large infrastructure, rail or other complex engineering programmes.
Demonstrable experience of developing and maintaining integrated master schedules for large, complex infrastructure programmes.
Strong expertise in dependency management, programme controls, resource planning and cross-functional coordination.
Extensive experience with Oracle Primavera P6, Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC) or similar enterprise planning tools.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex information into clear decision support for management.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, technical experts and stakeholders with differing priorities.
Experience from rail, metro or other operationally critical infrastructure is an advantage.
A relevant degree in engineering, project management or similar discipline. Primavera certification is an advantage.
Professional proficiency in written and spoken English, as English is the programme’s working language.
