Asset Performance Analyst

Metroselskabet operates the Copenhagen Metro, a fully automated, driverless metro system. With a high degree of automation and extensive operational and maintenance data, we have a strong foundation for working systematically with asset performance, reliability and continuous improvement.
You will join Customer and Commercial Excellence, where we work to ensure that the metro and light rail systems perform according to customer needs and operational targets. We do this through close collaboration with our operator, a solid data foundation and a continuous focus on improving performance.
About the role
As Asset Performance Analyst, you will play an important role in developing how we monitor, analyse and assess the performance and condition of metro assets.
Finding meaningful signals in a system that already performs at a very high level demands a particular mindset: the ability to notice small deviations, ask why they occur, and recognise their potential significance before they become problems. That kind of attention – applied consistently and curiously across complex technical systems – is what drives improvement at this level.
The role has two closely connected dimensions:
1. Asset performance monitoring in HMAX
You will help develop our asset performance monitoring setup in HMAX, Hitachi’s asset performance management platform, which is currently being rolled out. Together with colleagues, our operator and Hitachi, you will configure monitoring logic, establish relevant baselines and thresholds, and ensure that the platform provides meaningful insight at system, subsystem and component level.
As HMAX superuser, you will also support the correct and consistent use of the platform within Metroselskabet and in collaboration with our operator. This includes supporting users, contributing to onboarding and acting as a link between business needs, users and platform capabilities.
2. Data analysis and asset condition assessment
In parallel, you will work directly with operational and maintenance data. You will build analyses and models that can identify patterns, degradation trends and anomalies that require investigation.
You will translate findings from monitoring and data analysis into asset condition assessments that support prioritisation of maintenance initiatives, improvement projects and long-term reinvestment decisions.
Your main responsibilities
- Develop and maintain asset performance monitoring in HMAX, including baselines, thresholds and monitoring logic.
- Work with the operator, Hitachi and internal technical specialists to configure HMAX for Copenhagen Metro’s operational context.
- Act as HMAX superuser and promote correct, consistent and value-creating use of the platform.
- Analyse operational, maintenance and asset data to identify degradation patterns, deviations and performance trends.
- Investigate anomalies at system, subsystem and component level and assess their potential operational significance.
- Translate analysis and monitoring findings into asset condition assessments and recommendations for reinvestment prioritisation.
- Develop and contribute to improvement initiatives across technical disciplines and in collaboration with our operator.
- Help strengthen Metroselskabet’s data-driven approach to asset management and continuous improvement.
About you
We expect that you:
- Hold a relevant degree in engineering, data science or a similar technical field.
- Have experience from the rail industry, preferably within signalling, operations, maintenance or asset management.
- Have experience working with asset management, maintenance or operational performance data.
- Are analytical, structured and curious about complex technical systems.
- Have an eye for small deviations and are motivated to investigate their causes and potential implications.
- Can work independently with open-ended analytical tasks while collaborating closely with technical and operational stakeholders.
- Communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
It is an advantage if you have experience with:
- Analytical coding and working directly with data, for example in Python, SQL or similar.
- Asset performance management platforms, dashboards, monitoring logic or alert structures.
- Reliability engineering methods, such as FMEA, root-cause analysis, failure trend analysis or Weibull analysis.
- Collaboration in a contract-managed operating environment.

Your work will directly support the continued reliability and development of the Copenhagen Metro, including decisions on maintenance improvements and long-term reinvestments in critical public infrastructure.
