New staircase and elevator to track 1 of the Køge Bay Line

Construction of a new staircase and elevator from the interchange area to Track 1 of the Køge Bay Line will continue into the beginning of summer. The staircases from the interchange area down to ground level and further up to Track 1 have been put in place, and so has the elevator tower.

In the coming period, the work will therefore mainly consist of minor finishing tasks, such as paving, handrails, guardrails, ceilings, lighting, and other technical installations.

As a rule, the work will be carried out during daytime hours, but safety considerations around the railway tracks may mean that parts of the work must be performed outside normal working hours. If that becomes relevant, we will provide further information via SMS.

We expect to complete the work and open the staircase and elevator during the summer of 2026.
