Construction of the station forecourt at Følager begins

The work to build the new platforms for the Øresund trains and the pedestrian tunnel under the tracks has progressed to the point where we will soon begin to reduce the construction site along the path from Følager to Copenhagen South.

New station forecourt at Følager

On part of the area currently occupied by the construction site, we will establish a smaller station forecourt with new paving, bicycle parking, planting, etc., as well as a new path from Følager to the station.

Initially, at the beginning of August, we will start removing the green panel fences and replacing them with wire fences. In this first phase, the path will remain in its current location, so you can still use it to and from the station.

The elevator to Køge Bugt Line's track 2 closes

The work also means that the current elevator to Køge Bugt Line's track 2 will be closed at the beginning of August. The elevator will be dismantled. It will be replaced by a brand new elevator, which is being built in connection with the pedestrian tunnel. Unfortunately, there will likely be a period when the new elevator is not yet operational, but the old one is being removed. During this period, we refer to the other stairs and elevators in the area.

The construction of the new station forecourt at Følager is expected to be completed around the end of the year.
