Team Manager, Data & Data Governance | Metroselskabet
Would you like to be responsible for making Metroselskabet more data-driven and for building the foundation for our data governance?
About the role
As our new Team Manager, Data & Data Governance, you will have the overall strategic responsibility for the company’s data, metadata and document archives, as well as the operational responsibility for data quality and governance processes.
You will report to the CIO and lead a team currently consisting of seven employees – four data engineers, two data scientists and one product owner responsible for the company’s data lake. The team is expected to grow alongside our digital transformation.
Your responsibilities
- Establish and anchor a data governance setup based on DAMA-DMBOK
- Create structure and ownership across the company’s data and document archives
- Drive cross-organisational collaboration to embed governance throughout the company
- Translate the company’s data ambitions into concrete, value-creating initiatives and ensure that data becomes an integrated part of our decision-making processes
- Develop and motivate a strong professional team
Your profile
We are looking for a modern leader who combines technical understanding with strong relational leadership.
- Experienced governance specialist:
You have documented experience in building data governance setups in larger organisations. - Modern leader:
You are an experienced people manager who can create direction, motivation and high levels of wellbeing in a highly specialised team. - Communicator:
You can translate complex data expertise into strategic insight and communicate effortlessly in both Danish and English. - Structured hands-on professional:
You thrive on creating clarity in complex tasks, take a proactive approach and work in a focused and solution-oriented way.
