From Sunday evening and throughout most of next week, the M3 (M3 line) and M4 will close at 9pm to grind rails on the two metro lines. Instead, metro buses will be deployed. There will be regular metro operations from 6:00 to 21:00 every day.
The rails in the metro system are grinded to ensure a smoother operation. Rail grinding is part of the regular maintenance work, which, among other things, contributes to a comfortable journey for customers and can reduce the noise level from metro operations.
The rail grinding will close M3 and M4 from Sunday 1 November to Wednesday 4 November from 21:00-06:00.
There will be regular metro operations every day from 6:00 to 21:00. Between 21:00 and 06:00, metro buses will be deployed.
To ensure that passengers can keep their distance, the passenger capacity of the metro buses is reduced to approximately 40 passengers so that all passengers can have a seat. This means that the buses cannot carry as many people as under normal circumstances. Metroselskabet is therefore deploying more buses than usual, but would already like to point out that this may result in longer journey times for passengers, and Metroselskabet therefore encourages passengers to choose other transport or to prepare for longer journey times if there are many passengers.
