Over 1500 visited the upcoming Metro station at Mozarts Plads
There were free keyrings, stickers, coffee, popcorn, logs and little yellow hard hats for the little ones when Metroselskabet hosted an "Open construction site" at the future metro station Mozarts Plads. The many neighbours and residents in the vicinity of the new Metro line showed great interest, with over 1500 people stopping by.
The same went for Lord Mayor Sophie Hæstorp Andersen, who gave a speech to the many attendees. The Lord Mayor was particularly looking forward to bringing the entire South Harbour closer to Copenhagen:
"If Anker Jørgensen had still been alive, he would have been able to get to the centre of our city much faster, I think he would have loved that",
and continued:
"I love the metro and we need more of it. We need to fight for it so that more neighbourhoods are better connected and we can create more green urban development throughout the capital."

"Into childhood"
Local artist Christian Schmidt-Rasmussen has been commissioned to decorate the entire Mozarts Plads Metro station with a work of art. He has named the artwork: "Into Childhood", inspired by life around Mozart Square.
Christian Schmidt-Rasmussen stood on the platform at the new Metro station and answered questions from the more than 1500 visitors.
Mozarts Plads metro station is one of the five new metro stations that will open this summer on the new metro line M4 South to Valby.
