Metroselskabet appoints CFO to newly created position
Jacob Eberholst will take up the role of CFO and become part of Metroselskabet’s executive management team.
Jacob Eberholst is joining Metroselskabet as its new CFO (Chief Financial Officer). He comes from Implement Consulting Group and has previously held senior positions within the City of Copenhagen.
As Metroselskabet continues to grow and our tasks become more complex, financial management, financial matters, digitalisation, the use of data, and risk management are gaining increasing strategic importance. We have therefore created a dedicated CFO role to strengthen the overall management of the company, support our digitalisation and AI agenda, and help ensure a robust foundation for the company’s continued development
Facts about Metroselskabet
Metroselskabet’s main task is to deliver sustainable mobility to the Greater Copenhagen area. We build and operate metro and light rail systems and work every day to attract more passengers to public transport.
Jacob Eberholst holds a degree in economics (cand.polit.) from the University of Copenhagen and joins from a position as management consultant at Implement Consulting Group. Previously, he served as Director of Resources and Head of Office in the City of Copenhagen.

Jacob Eberholst will start on 12 August 2026.
