In the area around Havneholmen Station, the other construction sites in the area are now advanced enough for us to complete roads and bike paths with a new, smooth layer of asphalt. The work primarily takes place in weeks 26 and 27, but may also occur in week 28, as weather can affect the work schedule.

Since some of the works needs to be performed in one continuous operation to achieve the best result and to manage traffic flow to places like Fisketorvet and the Vasbygade intersection, some of the work will be carried out at night.

The work will take place in the area from the intersection between Havneholmen and Skibbroen, into Fisketorvet's parking basement, along the metro station, and at the intersection with Vasbygade.

Work schedule subject to changes

In week 26, the current asphalt will be milled off. In less trafficked areas, this can occur during the day, but in trafficked areas, it will take place at night. The milling work is noisy.

In week 27, the work continues. Here, we will lay asphalt at Fisketorvet's parking basement, where the road needs to be leveled. Therefore, from Monday, June 30th at 22:00 to Tuesday, July 1st at 05:00, there will be no access to and from Fisketorvet's parking basement.

Once the asphalt is laid, we will do the final striping of turn lanes, pedestrian crossings, etc. Note that weather and other conditions can affect the work periods, which are therefore subject to change. You may experience work on some nights in week 28 as well if the work is extended.

What to expect as a neighbour

During the weeks the work is ongoing, you can expect extended travel time if you need to pass through the area by car. You should also expect noisy work – especially when the old asphalt is milled off.
