Team Manager for Projects in the Metro

Would you like to take responsibility for an experienced team of project managers and help ensure that the Copenhagen Metro continues to deliver high operational reliability and strong customer satisfaction? At Metroselskabet, we are looking for a Team Manager for the Assets and Renewals unit, where you will take on a central leadership role with responsibility for projects that are essential to the metro’s continued operation and quality.

About the position

As Team Manager, you will lead a team of approximately 12 employees working on projects in the metro. The team primarily consists of experienced engineers and project managers, and you will have line management responsibility for both project managers and two Project Managers, who serve as professional leads for transport-related systems and structures, respectively.

You will report to the Head of Assets and Renewals, a department of around 30 employees with expertise in project management, asset management, documentation, and safety approvals.

Your role

You will play an important role in setting direction, creating alignment, and establishing a strong framework for the team’s work. You will be responsible for ensuring well-being, prioritisation, and progress across a portfolio of complex reinvestment projects that support the metro’s high quality and stable operation.

The role involves close collaboration across Metroselskabet’s units, where the team often works together with technical specialists and other key functions. At the same time, you will be responsible for ensuring good and constructive cooperation with the metro’s daily operator, who is responsible for operations and maintenance.

You will become part of an international working environment with several nationalities, where English is the daily working language.

Your primary areas of responsibility

  • people management and development of the team’s project managers and project managers with professional leadership responsibilities
  • ensuring progress, prioritisation, and alignment across the team’s overall project portfolio of more than 70 projects
  • contributing to the development of ways of working, collaboration, and capacity planning
  • building strong collaborative relationships across the organisation and with external partners
  • supporting the delivery of projects with high quality and with a focus on operations, safety, and long-term maintenance
