Ownership structure

Metroselskabet was founded in 2007 and is responsible for operating and maintaining the existing Metro and building new lines.

Metroselskabet is owned by the City of Copenhagen, the City of Frederiksberg and the Danish state through the Minister of Transport as a partnership. The Metroselskabet's Board of Directors is the Company's top management and is responsible for ensuring that the Company fulfils the objectives set out in the legislation.

The Company's owners participate in an annual partnership meeting, where the owners are presented with the Company's annual report and financial statements as well as the Company's work to ensure that the management documents comply with the requirements of the Danish State Ownership Policy and the recommendations for good corporate governance from the Committee on Corporate Governance.
