New Pedestrian Bridge from Etta Camerons Vej
In June 2024, the metro station Sluseholmen opened. However, as several other construction projects were still ongoing in the area around the station, we installed a temporary pedestrian bridge from Etta Camerons Vej to the new station to ensure access from Sluseholmen.
The other construction projects in the area have now progressed to a point where the permanent pedestrian bridge has been completed and opened. It is therefore time to say goodbye to the temporary pedestrian bridge.
The temporary pedestrian bridge will be removed
We expect to remove the temporary pedestrian bridge in the middle of next week – week 16. The bridge will then be transported away, and we expect the removal process to take a couple of days.
You may experience some noise during daytime hours while the temporary pedestrian bridge is being dismantled and transported away. There may also be short periods – for example when lifting larger elements by crane – when access to the permanent pedestrian bridge is temporarily restricted, as space at the end of Etta Camerons Vej is limited. Staff on site will guide you safely.
The work may be affected by weather, wind, and other unforeseen factors, and all timings are therefore subject to change.
Completion of the station forecourt
Once the temporary pedestrian bridge has been removed, a small area of the station forecourt still needs to be completed – specifically where the temporary pedestrian bridge previously connected to the station area. This work will be carried out as soon as possible after the bridge has been removed, after which Metroselskabet’s work in the area will be completed.
