Øresund platforms and pedestrian tunnel under the Øresund tracks

In mid-December, we completed the construction of the new Øresund platforms and the pedestrian tunnel under the tracks. In the new year, you may still see a few smaller finishing works taking place, such as planting, paving, and similar activities on and around the station square at Følager – but both the pedestrian tunnel and the Øresund platforms are open.

New staircase and elevator to track 1 of the Køge Bay Line

With the opening of the pedestrian tunnel and the Øresund platforms, the only remaining construction project at Copenhagen South is the new staircase and elevator from the transfer area to track 1 of the Køge Bay Line. In the coming months, work will continue, including installation of stairs, landings, the elevator tower, and more, before we move on to the final details.

The work will primarily be carried out during daytime hours, but for safety reasons around the railway tracks, some parts of the work may need to be carried out outside normal working hours. When this is the case, we will inform you by SMS. We expect to complete the work and open the staircase and elevator by late spring 2026.
