IT Intern for Metroselskabet

Vacancytype: Part timeApplication deadline: 30. maj 2025

Are you passionate about programming and IT solutions? Do you want to be part of a team with a steep learning curve where you can develop both professionally and personally? Then you might be the one we're looking for!

About us

At Metroselskabet, we ensure a simple and attractive travel experience through technological development. We are therefore looking for talents who can optimise our IT solutions and drive digital transformation.

In the Digitalization, Information & Technology (DIT) department, we are responsible for future-proofing Metroselskabet in a world where digitalisation plays an increasingly important role. We balance innovation and new technology with a high level of security and operations - and we do this by working across disciplines and organisational units.

About the team

You will be part of the Application Engineering team, which handles the operation and development of software for Metroselskabet's many processes. Here you will have the opportunity to work with the entire application lifecycle - from requirements specification and design to development, testing and operations. Your immediate manager will be Team Manager Andreas Utzon-Frank, who leads both the Infrastructure and Application Engineering teams.

What you will be working with

As an IT intern with us, you'll get hands-on experience with a range of exciting tasks, including

  • Programming in e.g. C# and Python and working with low code/no code solutions in our shared data environment (Autodesk Construction Cloud).
  • Maintaining and organising documentation for IT projects.
  • Requirements gathering and coordination with developers and business areas.
  • Assistance in handling Jira and project management.
  • Testing IT solutions in close co-operation with developers and test manager - including creating test cases and executing tests.
  • Communication between technical and non-technical team members to ensure clear understanding across the organisation.
  • Version control and availability of project files.

Who are you?

We are looking for a curious intern who:

  • Is curious and open to new technologies.
  • Has an imaginative approach and a desire to work with problem solving.
  • Thrives on collaboration and wants to contribute to a strong community.
  • Has a structured and analytical mindset.

What we offer

A unique opportunity to develop your competences in a professional but informal environment. You will be part of a strong community with professional sparring and a tutor who supports your development.

We also offer

  • Social events such as Friday bars and communal breakfasts.
  • A delicious canteen and daily snacks.
  • An inspiring environment in a growing organisation.

Practical information

You must be enrolled in a degree programme - we do not hire graduates in internship positions.

Application deadline: 30 May 2025 - interviews are ongoing.
