Ed Sheeran surprises passengers on the Metro: Global superstar welcomes passengers at Femøren
Tonight, one of the world's biggest pop stars, Ed Sheeran, will take Copenhagen by storm with the first of four sold-out concerts in Øresundsparken. A total of up to 180,000 guests are expected to attend the singer's shows. It is expected that approximately half of the guests will take the Metro, and already on their way to the concert, passengers will be greeted by something very special.
From 1 p.m. on each concert day from today until Sunday, passengers on the M2 line will hear an exclusive audio greeting from Ed Sheeran over the loudspeakers when the train arrives at Femøren Station, which is just a few minutes' walk from the concert area in Øresundsparken. The personal greeting was recorded by Ed Sheeran himself – specially selected for his Danish fans.
We want to create a cohesive concert experience that begins in the Metro. With Ed Sheeran's greeting and live music at the stations, we give guests a warm and unique welcome and get them in the mood for the concert together with Ed.
