At its meeting on March 31, the Board of Directors decided to initiate a mapping and analysis of Metroselskabet's work environment and safety culture. This is in continuation of the CSR strategy for 2017, where the working environment is one of five focus areas. Against this background and as a prelude to the conclusion of contracts for the upcoming Sydhavn Metro, the Board of Directors will make an overall assessment of the results in the working environment area in order to set the framework for the future working environment work.

The Board also received a review of Metroselskabet's work on megatrends and future transportation needs. This work was decided by the board in October 2015 with the aim of gaining an overview of the megatrends and driving forces that may affect future transportation in the metropolitan area. The thorough analysis work has been compiled in a report that can be used for future analysis and decisions on investments in new infrastructure. The report was prepared in collaboration with the Metroselskabet's and The Creater Copenhagen Light Rail's expert panels, which consist of leading researchers with special insight into transportation and urban development.
