At the meeting on June 24, the Board received a presentation on expectations and challenges in relation to the capacity of the existing Metro. Last year, just over 57 million people traveled on the Metro. Passenger numbers have been increasing since the opening in 2002 and will increase further as Copenhagen grows and the system expands. The board therefore discussed how best to meet the expected passenger growth and the need for a possible new investment strategy.
The Board also discussed a number of large financial claims that Metroselskabet has recently received from the main contractor CMT. The claims raised are still only documented to a very limited extent. The Board discussed the further handling of the claims raised.
