The architecture of the M4 to Sydhavn and Valby

Functional, easily accessible and decorated with art
The five Metro stations in Sydhavn are designed according to the same principles as the rest of the Metro. It must be accessible to everyone, which means that the stations in Sydhavn have two lifts and continue to maintain the high standards that make it easy for wheelchair users, visually impaired and hearing impaired people to use the Metro.
Close to the water
Three of the metro stations - Havneholmen, Enghave Brygge and Sluseholmen - are close to the water, and this can be seen in the different types of waves on the bright wall panelling of the three stations. Art is integrated into the stations and you can read more about the art at the five stations here.

Station squares on the M4 to Sydhavn and Valby
On the part of the M4 that transports you to and from Sydhavn and Valby, you'll find station squares that are designed as vibrant urban spaces where you can spend time during the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Several of the squares have green areas and benches that allow the station squares to function as more than just the entrance to the metro station - they are part of the local neighbourhood.
Escalators to ground level at all stations
As a new feature, all main stairs at Sydhavn stations have been upgraded with escalators to ground level. The side stairs have also been upgraded so that they no longer go via a bicycle cellar but directly to the surface.
