Students for Metroselskabet’s Secretariat & Risk Unit
Are you interested in strategy, executive and board support? Do you enjoy working on a wide range of tasks and receiving input from many different people? Are you currently studying within the social sciences? Then the student position in Metroselskabet’s Secretariat & Risk unit might be something for you.
About the positions
We are looking for two student assistants for the Secretariat & Risk unit, which supports the company in activities related to board services, risk management, and the operation of the company’s buildings. The unit consists of three teams: the Executive Secretariat, Risk, and Technical Services. One student will mainly work within the Executive Secretariat, and the other within the Risk team. There will also be cross-functional tasks.
In the Executive Secretariat, we support the executive management, the boards and the owners of Metroselskabet and Hovedstadens Letbane. Here you will, among other things:
- contribute to the company’s biannual strategy follow-up
- contribute to the coordination of the monthly project overview and quarterly project status
- contribute to executive requests, including memos and presentations
The Risk team is responsible for the company’s risk management in projects and at the corporate level (enterprise risk management).
- Here you will primarily assist in the quarterly risk reporting to the boards of Metroselskabet and the Greater Copenhagen Light Rail.
The work is varied and covers the entire risk-reporting process from start to finish—from planning, to facilitation and interviews with risk owners, to data processing, analysis, and report writing.
In both roles, you will receive extensive side-by-side training in all parts of the work, and you will have the opportunity to take on new tasks as you are ready.
Who are you?
We want you to succeed in the job—and to thrive. The prerequisites are:
- You work in a structured, thorough, and analytical way
- You are good at planning and prioritising your time
- You maintain an overview and a positive attitude—even during busy periods
- You are collaboration-oriented and efficient in how you solve tasks
- You communicate well in both written and spoken Danish and English
- You have approximately two years left of your studies and a social science profile.
We imagine that you can work an average of approx. 15 hours per week, arranged flexibly with respect for your studies and the job’s quarterly peaks. If you have a preference for one of the two positions, please mention it in your application.
We offer
Metroselskabet and the Greater Copenhagen Light Rail offer a challenging student job in a modern and evolving organisation. We provide a good international working environment with dedicated colleagues from all over the world who contribute to improving public transport in the Greater Copenhagen area.
